Fullerton Myanmar wins a technology award for “Extending Financial Inclusion”

Fullerton Myanmar, a client of Software Group, won the technology award for “Extending Financial Inclusion” provided by Temenos. The annual customers and partners’ awards were presented during the 17th Temenos Community Forum in Barcelona held in May 2016 and recognize outstanding performance across a number of categories.

Fullerton was honored with the prestigious title for its new project in Myanmar that provided access to more than 50,000 previously unbanked end customers within the first year of operations. For this project the company is capitalizing on the opportunity of using Microbanking Suite delivered by Temenos and UnderTree Suite from Software Group both running on the Microsoft Azure cloud. With this initiative the company is lowering the cost of banking and making it available over mobile channels. Fullerton is achieving its goal of extending financial inclusion even in the remotest places in Myanmar.
